Season 9 IPL will have its third play-off match between the loser of Qualifier 1, Gujarat Lions and winner of the Eliminator, Sunrisers Hyderabad today, at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, New Delhi from 8 pm. Today’s match is IPL’s 47th day, 58 number match ‘Gujarat Lions Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad’, and the whole stadium will be packed with loud noises of cheers from the audiences and waving of team flags, and also music and dances on showering of 4s and 6s from both the teams. Captains Suresh Raina of GL and David Warner of SRH and their respective teams will be in full form as it would be interesting to see who wins the toss, and decide to take batting or bowling at first.

As Sunrisers Hyderabad have knocked the Kolkata Knight Riders [KKR] out of the tournament in their previous match with their splendid bowling and fielding with great catches, David Warner and his teammates would be flying in confidence to win tonight’s match. But at the other hand, Gujarat Lions’ Suresh Raina and his boys will be fighting hard to beat SRH as this is their second chance to prove themselves to make way into final. So both the teams will seem to play like roaring lions to topple their opponent in today’s semi-final.

Two Captains Raina and Warner (www.news18.com)

In Gujarat Lions’ team, the first five batsmen have to produce huge runs, without getting out quickly. Much is expected from top batting order – Suresh Raina, Brendon McCullum, Aaron Finch, Dwayne Smith, and Dinesh Kartik. In the last match against RCB, only Dwayne Smith was the one to be noticed with a good batting score, whereas others didn’t prove well. Captain Raina and Coach Brad Hodge may decide to either drop Aaron Finch or Brendon McCullum as both didn’t fair well in last match, though both the players have made their team win many GL matches. Most probably Aaron and MacCullum will stay in today’s match. All-rounder James Faulker, who can offer brilliant runs may or may not be added to their team. Well, GL very well know that their batting side is pretty much strong, and can play superbly, if only the batsmen do not get out soon.

GL are most likely to have the four overseas players – Smith, Finch, Bravo, and McCullum. Their bowlers Shadab Jakati, Bravo, Praveen Kumar, Dhawal Kulkarni, Bravo and Eklavya Dwivedi really bowl greatly, taking wickets of the opponent. Overall, there may be a slight change in the bating and bowling order.

With Sunrisers Hyderabad, they are going to stick to the same playing order. Captain David Warner and Coach Tom Moody decided to keep away Eoin Morgan and Kane Williamson in the last match, and keep continuing with Ben Cutting. Everyone is eagerly looking forward to watch Yuvraj Singh as he contributed good runs [44] in the last match against KKR. Hopes are there that David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan, Moises Henriques, Deepak Hooda and Ben Cutting produce better runs individually for their team.

In the bowling category, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is excellent to throwing crucial bowls and getting wickets. Other bowlers Mustafizur Rahman, Barinder Sran, Moises Henriques, and Ben Cutting contribute in picking wickets, and today too they will throw their best bowl in Qualifier 2.
