Festivities start from the early morning, and extend throughout the day, till midnight when the main puja is performed to rejoice in the accurate moment of Krishna’s birth, including puja the next day too. The events cover kirtan, Japa, prayers, and singing Lord Krishna’s name with other devotees. Firstly Abhisheka is executed by Lord Krishna (bathed with distinct auspicious liquids), and the Lord is beautifully decorated with new attire and adorned with colorful garlands in the temple. Kirtan in front of Lord Krishna makes the devotees more religious, and they bow down and get engrossed in prayers.
