Sony is all set to launch its new Hindi romantic television series named Ek Duje Ke Vaaste. This show will be aired from 29 February, every Monday to Friday nights from 10 pm. Under Bindu Productions, the series is directed by Pravat Rout, along with casting associate Himesh Choudhary. Nikita Dutta (as Suman) and Namik Paul (as Shravan) will play the female and male lead roles in this show. The concept revolves around the love relationship between Suman and Shravan.

Story Plot

The story of Ek Duje Ke Vaaste portrays a young, pretty and self-independent girl, Suman who has her self-respect. She runs her own small enterprise, Central Tiffin Service in Delhi. When her parents passed away early in her life, her grandparents, uncle and aunty raised her upbringing. This indebtedness makes Suman into a dutiful woman every time she finds herself within her home boundaries. But when she moves out of her home, she is the bold and confident girl ‘in-control-of-everything’ which she has been the one ever since her childhood.

Suman’s aim is to firstly repay the loan taken by her mother in order to earn her respect, and secondly to put right her relationship with her long-lost childhood friend Shravan. A love angle is exhibited on the show where Suman looks for her childhood friend on Facebook, and belives him to be her true soul mate. When she meets Shravan face-to-face in his office, home, or any other place, they talk but not on a very sweet note. Their conversations don’t match and things are slightly skewed between them, but Suman puts her effort to set it rightly. It will be exciting to see their chemistry, a different love story as the story goes ahead.

Actress Nikita Dutta was earlier playing a role on Life OK’s Dream Girl-Ek Ladki Deewani Si. Now she will be seen on Sony’s Ek Duje Ke Vaaste. According to Nikita, “I play a common girl’s character Suman who is shy at home, but confident when she goes out, and meets different kinds of people. My character has various layers, and female audiences will surely relate with Suman. Though its concept spins around a love story, but Ek Duje Ke Vaaste has an ideal storyline. I’m really very excited to be a part of this new show.”

Actor Namik Paul, who was last seen in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai, will now be seen as Shravan on EDKV, a smart, good-looking and ambitious guy. Shravan is a lawyer by profession. Namik speaks about his role, “The role of Shravan I’ll play is extremely strong and determined, and also challenging. I’m happy to act this role as it has a remarkable storyline. I wish that viewers will like our show!”
