Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 To Launch On Colors From 30th July

Colors channel is all set to telecast its new season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa by the end of this month. The dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa is making its comeback to entertain its audiences with new dance moves in Season 9. The show is showcased from Saturday, 30^th July on 10 pm on Colors, every Saturday only.

The reality dance show this time offers you trendy dance steps executed by well-known TV Stars to comedian to chef to dancers. The judges who will judge the contestants of this season include ace-choreographer Ganesh Hedge, director and producer Karan Johar, and Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez who will be a new addition, in replacement of Shahid Kapoor. Jacqueline will dance on her hot numbers, “Chittiyan Kalaiyaan” and “Marjawa”.

The show will be hosted by Manish Paul. Under A BBC Production, Jhalak Dikjla Jaa genre stands as Dance Entertainment, and its tagline is Dancing with Stars.

1. Arjun Bijlani: Television heartthrob Arjun Bijlani who was seen on Colors’ Naagin, will take part in Season 9. He will be dancing along with choreographer Bhawna Khanduja. She is a talented dancer in ballet, contemporary, folk, and many more.

2. Karishma Tanna: Karishma Tanna who was last seen in MTV Love School, and achieved big success and fame with Bigg Boss 8, will be attracting her viewers on JDJ9 with her dancing sensation. She will be seen with choreographer Rajit Dev who had earlier worked in few Bollywood movies such as Ek Tha Tiger, Dhoom 3, and many more. Karishma and Rajit will showcase their powerful dance chemistry on floor.

3. Surveen Chawla: The sizzling actress Surveen Chawla acted in Bollywood film Hate Story 2, and will be seen in second season 24 series on Colors, alongside Anil Kapoor. She is approaching on Jhalak with her hot dancing styles along with choreographer Sanam Johar. He is an expertise contemporary and ballet dancer, who was a contestant and mentor on Zee’s Dance India Dance.

4. Helly Shah: Helly who plays the role of Swara from Colors’ Swaragini as a traditional bahu, will arrive in her new avatar on Jhalak, with her famous choreographer Jai Kumar Nair who was a part of earlier season, and also mentor and contestant of DID seasons.

5. Gaurav Gera: Ace-comedian Gaurav Gera who is well-liked as Chutki from ‘Shopkeepaa [Shopkeeper] and ‘Chutki’ series, is ready to wear the dancing shoes in the character of Chutki in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 9. He is going to dance with choreographer Diwakar Nayal. Gaurav is going to offer the fun element on Chutki form through his dance.

 6. Shakti Arora: Shakti Arora got popular from Colors’ Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, and he showed his dancing skills on Star Plus’s dance reality show, Nach Baliye 7. Now he will exhibit his dance with choreographer Suchitra Sawant. Viewers would love to see his dancing moves yet again on Jhalak season 9.

7. Nora Fatehi: Being already a professional belly dancer, Nora Fatehi became hugely known from reality show Bigg Boss – Double Trouble. She was also seen doing an item number on Force 2. Nora will be participating in this season, and choreographed by Cornel Rodrigues, an expert in Jazz, Hip Hop, Street Dancing, Contemporary, etc.

8. Shantanu Maheshwari: Shantanu Maheshwari, known as one of the best Hip Hop dancers, will partake in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa with dance choreographer Alisha Singh. Earlier Alisha was seen in Dance India Dance season, and was mentored by Vaibhavi Merchant and Remo D’Souza.

9. Harpal Singh Sokhi: Jhalak this season will watch an expert chef as he is recognized as ‘energy chef’ in food area. Audiences will see a popular chef displaying his dancing skills. When chef Harpal Singh is on Jhalak, none of the contestants and choreographers has to come on shoot with their home foods.

10. Siddhant Gupta: Siddhant Gupta who was last seen acting on Zee’s Tashan-E-Ishq and quit too recently, will be joining this Jhalak season along with his choreographer Pranali. Youths are eagerly waiting to see the popular Siddhant dance to the tunes of Bollywood songs.

11. Salman Yusuff Khan: A choreographer-actor and former dance reality show contestant, Salman Yusuff Khan is pairing up with choreographer Aishwarya Radhakrishnan.

12. Priyanka and Poonam Shah: Priyanka and Poonam from Chicago are skilled choreographers. The Indo-American girls showcased their dancing style in Hip-Hop and Bharatnatyam dance-fushion style on YouTube. They will now rule the small screen on Jhalak show with their excellent style in dance!

13. Ruhanika Dhawan and Siddarth Nigam: Like every season of Jhalak has one child artist contestant, this time makers have planned to bring in not one but two child artists.

They have confirmed Ruhanika Dhawan (Ruhi from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein), and Siddarth Nigam (played younger Ashoka in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat).

Once the final names are fixed for Season 9, you will be further updated on 31^st July. The makers have also thought of introducing a wild card entry after few weeks.
