Kaun Banega Crorepati begins its new season amid pandemic, featuring Big B Amitabh Bachchan as the host. This time it would be the 12th edition, starting from Monday, 28 September on the Sony channel. Produced by Studio Next, the well-known game show on quiz airs on weekdays (Monday-Friday) at 9 pm. Because of safety reasons, there won’t be any live audience. KBC is all about coming across remarkable general knowledge questionnaires with their perfect answers.

The popular Q&A show is conducted by Amitabh Bachchan with new season different from the earlier ones. As per the government’s security rules, the KBC makers conveyed that the show won’t have an audience for the first time in twenty years.

Lifelines available for Contestants on Hotseat to Use

  • Video call a friend: As KBC 12th edition won’t have an audience lifeline, the audience poll has been replaced with a new lifeline to talk through “video to a friend”.
  • 50:50: The computer would remove two wrong answers from the game leaving the contestant one right answer and one wrong answer.
  • Flip the Question (Switch the Question/Switch): The current question would be thrown out and replaced with a new question.
  • Expert Advice (Ask the Expert): The producers would invite certain general knowledge experts to come to the studio to help the hot seat contestant.

According to the new format, Ashish Golwalkar, head of content at Sony Entertainment Television and Digital Business, conveyed that this time the registration was executed via a digital medium in which his team got a decent response from the participants.

Well, the hot seat contestant will certainly try to answer as many questions as possible asked by Amitabh Bachchan to achieve the most for the betterment of their future. Watch out for the 12th edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati at 9 pm on Sony channel and Sony Liv app, and have great learning!
