- Fitness Regimen: Those who are eager to play Garba require building their stamina before the Navratri season so that they do not drain their energy. One should work out excessively for two hours either in the morning or in the evening so as to dance in Navratri for longer hours and take pleasure in the occasion.
It should be a proper blend of light weights, treadmill walk, pilates, cross-fit exercises, jogging, yoga, cycling, core-strengthening exercises and distinct forms of cardio exercises. Continue with daily exercises so that you don’t face muscle pull sprain or muscle cramp much while dancing. Actually a month or two earlier exercises should start off.
- Eat Right Food: You should only eat healthy foods, preferably made at home. Just try to avoid having fast food, or any kind of cheesy, oily foods, and caffeine. You can add fresh fruits and green vegetables, nuts, fresh salads, and sprouts. You can also drink healthy liquids like green tea, coconut water, lemon juice, buttermilk, smoothies, and vegetable juices that will provide energy to your body and keep you hydrated. These will also help in including essential vitamins, minerals, and fats to your body.
Nutritionists recommend you not to go on crash diets. One should have healthy meals in small quantity in five-six portions which won’t make them hungry. Guys and girls should drink ten to twelve glasses of water in a day along with a balanced diet. They can have some mixed nuts once a day which will keep them going fit. Oily food, sweets, and caffeine should be warded off.
- Good, Sound Sleep: The Garba enthusiasts should have proper, sound sleep at night so that they can go for a morning walk or do some exercises and yoga to get fresh air and feel good.
A good sleep of six to seven hours is very important to get set for next day Garba night.
- Use of Hot Water for Soaking Feet: You must be practicing Garba dances daily in the evening. So when you return home, take some warm water in a tub or bucket, and soak your feet inside it, by keeping for a few minutes. This will not only relax your feet, and avert feet pain or cramp.
