Vivo IPL 2021 Season 14 kickstarts from April 9

Vivo IPL 2021 Season 14

The Indian Premier League 2021 is all set to rock for an exciting 14th Season. This time IPL 14 Twenty20 will be played in India. The season will start off from Friday, April 9 and will continue till Sunday, May 30. This time 8 teams will be playing among each other. The matches will take place at five venues in India – Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Bangalore. First match on April 9 will take off with the defending champions Mumbai Indians against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. The final of the tournament will be played world’s largest cricket stadium – Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 30, including the 3 playoff matches.

A Quick Note: IPL 2021 to be rescheduled. Because of the pandemic, IPL 14 has to be stopped mid-way. Last match was played on May 2. Keeping in mind of the health and well-being of all the IPL players, BCCI has suspended IPL 2021 for few months. They are in plans to conduct the rest of the remaining matches of the IPL 2021 in UAE, to be run from mid-October to November 14. Given the course of the increasing pandemic in India, the UAE remains a favorite.

The biggest challenge will be to squeeze the tournament in the limited time between the end of India’s England tour and the T20 World Cup, with the remaining 31 IPL matches. So cricket lovers, especially the IPL lovers have to wait patiently till mid of October for the IPL 2021 to resume back again!
