Xiaomi Mi5 to Launch at MWC 2016 on 24 February

Xiaomi brand is giving tough competition to its competitors with its new launches. This is confirmed news from Xiaomi that the new flagship Xiaomi Mi5 will be launched on 24^th February 2016. Months of speculations ended when Xiaomi Company tweeted regarding its confirmation.

Xiaomi VP, Hugo Barra, and Xiaomi India head, Manu Jain too posted the same teaser image from their respective Twitter handles. The status of the shared image conveyed, “All you ever imagined, and many more”, with big 5 written in the middle of it. A contest is also been hosted by Xiaomi where contestants have to explain what they’re anticipating from Mi5, and why they should be selected. Those 10 lucky winners will go to Beijing to watch the live launch event of Mi5. It’s certainly an exciting moment for people who are eager to buy its next version Xiaomi Mi5.

Expected Features of Xiaomi Mi5

Xiaomi Mi5 is anticipated to have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor. It will have a 5.2-inch screen along with a 2K [QHD] display, and 1440*2560 pixel resolutions with an impressive 565 PPI. The metal variant is expected to approach 32GB and 64GB storage options which feature 3GB and 4GB RAM respectively, and a 1080p display. The glass variant is anticipated to feature a QHD display, 4GB RAM, and storage variants 32GB and 64GB. Mi5 even includes a 3,600mAh battery, 16-megapixel rear camera along with LED flash and laser autofocus, 8-megapixel selfie camera, IR Blaster, fingerprint scanner, and connectivity options such as 4G LTE support, dual-SIM card slots, and NFC. Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to price approximately around $370 [Rs. 24,000]. It will launch firstly in China market, and then it will hit the Indian market.
