Importance of Gayatri Mantra as Prayer

The Gayatri Mantra engages a unique place which carries both the supremacy of mantra and of prayer. A mantra may be expressive or unexpressive, or a combination of both.  It holds an innate influence, identified as ‘Mantra Shakti’ that has encouraging influence because of its utterance only, and not because of any philosophical significance behind the mantra.
