Well, the marble replicas of Diana’s bench have been ordered by the Agra administration that will be created in Makrana marble and will thus be hand-crafted in Rajasthan. Makrana marble is a stone utilized to build the Taj Mahal monument.

As per Agra district magistrate Pankaj Kumar, “The first lot of 5 benches will be installed in a month’s time at different vantage points on the Chandra Shekhar Park, the Taj Nature Walk, and inside the government’s forest guest house. As it is time-consuming for manual crafting, the rest of the benches will be delivered in the upcoming months.”

Pankaj Kumar added, “As Taj Mahal is closed on Friday for the tourists to make easy the Juma prayers, thus the tourists and photography enthusiasts can now view Taj from new vintage points developed around the monument.” Apart from this initiative to raise more tourists in Agra, the tourism department has also planned to start an Agra Heritage Walk series around the exceptional Taj Mahal- the tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daula, and Kachhpura mosque, among many others to make the architectural heritage of Agra highly popular.
