Anil Kapoor is making his comeback on Colors television with 24 series’ second season. Colors channel is airing fresh series of 24, Season 2 from Saturday, 23rd July. The time slot of 24’ telecast will be 9 pm to 10 pm, thus replacing India’s Got Talent. This show is being written by Sajid Rasheed, Hussain Assad, and Priya Pinto; directed by Abhinay Deo; and produced under Rashvan Films. As the first season of 24 was vastly popular and appreciated by the audience, that’s why Anil Kapoor and his production team decided to arrive with its new season!

24: Adaption of American Series ‘24’

The 24 series is known to be adapted from the famous American Series named 24 that was created by Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow for Fox Networks, and produced by Howard Gordonand. It was in November 2011 when English Version 24’s Indian rights were acquired from Fox, and producer of 24 (Hindi version), Howard Gordon. The production house of Anil Kapoor signed a huge deal of Rs. 100 crore [$20 million] in order to adapt the 24’ series.

The first season of 24 was written by Rensil D’Silva and Bhanvani Lyer, and directed by Abhinay Deo, under Rashvan Films production. Season 1 was telecast from 4th October till 21st December, 2013 with only 24 episodes. It was a tremendous hit among its viewers! Thus the Season 2 is making its way from tomorrow.

Anil Kapoor’s 24 Replaces India’s Got Talent

There were many rumors doing the rounds earlier that the new series will be making its replacement with Krushna Abhishek-Bharati’s Comedy Nights Live on Colors channel. Everything got clear when Raj Nayak, Colors CEO tweated sharing 24 Season 2’s video teaser:

The premiere of Season 2 of Anil Kapoor’s 24 will be on 23rd July that replaces the reality show India’s Got Talent, on Saturday and Sunday, in 9-10 on time-slot.
