Colors launches new female-dominant show 'Ek Shrinagaar- Swabhimaan' at 9.30- PM

Colors channel is popular for bringing new conceptualized shows frequently. Last month, Colors commenced a new mythological show- ‘Karamphal Data Shani’ at 9 pm. This month they are launching a brand new show Ek Shrinagaar- Swabhimaan from 19^th December, Monday which replaces Swaragini at 9.30 PM. This new show is made under the famous Rajshri Production, produced by Indian film director, producer, screenwriter Sooraj Barjatya and his son Devansh Barjatya. Ek Shrinagaar- Swabhimaan is known to be a makeover of director Mahesh Bhatt’s 90’s serial Swabhimaan.

The lead actors of this show include Prachi Shah, Sangeeta Chauhan and Ankita Sharma. Ek Shrinagaar- Swabhimaan is set in the backdrop of Bundi, Rajasthan. A complete family drama, Swabhimaan revolves around a conservative family. Here the mother plays a pivotal role in single-handedly bringing up her two daughters, in spite of facing all odds. She gives them the best education by working extremely hard herself. The two sisters are very independent and have their own opinion, and are never afraid to take their stand.

Storyline

Rajshri Production is always praised for their family dramas, and Ek Shrinagaar- Swabhimaan is one of them. The story focuses on mother and her two lovely daughters. Any incident might have occurred in Sharda’s life (mother) that might have forced her to take the responsibilities of two daughters, Meghna and Naina in order to give them excellent education in the best school and university so that they can stand by their own feet and be independent. Shrada works as a teacher in a school of Bundi. She ensures to accomplish their wishes and necessities. As a single mother she survives in this male-dominated society with her head high, and makes her daughters the same.

Meghna and Naina are IIM and IIT toppers, and engineers, and also know to fight their own ways even through difficult situations without any fear. These two sisters want a life-partner who would respect them and allow them to work, even after marriage. One has to see how these two girls manage everything when they get married into a well-known family. Will these girls’ opinions clash with each other, or they would stand with each other in tough times! Let’s see how the storyline of the new show progresses ahead!

Prachi Shah: Actress Prachee Shah, as Shrada is a loving mother to beautiful daughter, Meghna and Naina. Prachee who was last seen in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, will be seen again on television screen with her new show Swabhimaan where she works tremendously hard to educate her daughters, and also encourages them to work and earn their living.

Samridh Bawa: Actor Samridh Bawa portrays the male lead opposite Sangeeta and Ankita. Earlier he debuted on Channel V’s Buddy Project, followed by Kya Hua Tera Wadaa and Mere Rang Mein Rangne Waali. Producer Sooraj Barjatya who launched Samridh in Mere Rang Mein, has cast him in Ek Shringaar- Swabhimaan.
