Sony television returns back with Season 2 of Superstar Singer with contestants under the age of 15 years. The children’s singing reality show telecasts from April 23, every Saturday-Sunday, at 8 PM. The Super Singer Season 2 is produced by TCT and Frames Production and directed by Neeraj Sharma.

The second season of singing reality show is judged by the well-known stalwarts of music industry:

  • Famous playback singer, Alka Yagnik
  • Bollywood playback singer, Javed Ali; and
  • Multi-talented music-director, composer, and singer, Himesh Reshammiya

Superstar Singer continues its pursuit in second season to find India’s next superstar singer. This time, the young singing dynamites – the “Captains”, Arunita Kanjilal, Pawandeep Rajan, Sayli Kamble, Mohd, Danish, and Salman Ali visited across India to pick the best singers for the audition round. These five mentors will guide and train the contestant singers for the competition. The show will be hosted and presented by Aditya Narayan.

As per the statement coming from Sony channel, few of the musical talents [artaking in this show include – Sargam Kushwaha, a visually impaired girl who sees this world with her beautiful music; 12-year-old Harshita Bhattacharjya who with her singing passion will show that music is the worldwide language of the soul; and 12-year-old Pranjal Biswas who will attract everyone’s heart with his goodness and his dotara.

Selection process for Superstar Singer Season 2

  • The show starts with the audition round where the selected contestants by the five captains will showcase their best voice to impress the three judges in order to win the Suron Pe Mohar so that they can qualify for the next singing round.
  • The selected contestants in the second round of Mega Audition Phase will have to give their utmost best to secure their spot in the Top 15.
  • The Grand Premiere will see the top 15 contestants picked by the judges where each contestant will be allotted with respective captains.
  • Every week these 15 contestants will be trained by their respective captains to impress the judges and the audience by showcasing their best singing talent.
  • Also, the contestant who sings the best wins a medal every week.
  • Elimination among the top 15 will happen every Sunday to find the best with audience votes.
  • Gradually the top five will be elected who will compete among themselves for “India’s Next Superstar Singer” title.
